CBA and HistoriCorps Will Partner on 1872 Schoolhouse Renovation

The Carver Birthplace Association and HistoriCorps are partnering on the 1872 Schoolhouse renovation in Neosho, Missouri this summer. HistoriCorps saves and sustains historic places for public benefit through partnerships that foster public involvement, engage volunteers and provide training and education.

HistoriCorps will handle the actual renovation work, area volunteers can help by providing lunches, laundry facilities, and so forth. Also needed, are volunteers with suitable vehicles, that might be willing to transport materials removed from the schoolhouse to the appropriate local deposit sites,
